Etisalat has introduced a new 30MB per second package for residential internet users – the fastest in the Middle East, according to the telecoms service provider. The new Al Shamil package employs Fibre to the Home (FTTH) technology and will significantly boost the current speed of Internet. The 30MBps deal is obviously available only in FTTH areas – Al Raha Gardens was one of the first areas to be connected, but FTTH is currently being deployed throughout the capital.

Connection to the FTTH network is free for subscribers.
