We’re a week into the fully-fledged web existence of Abu Dhabi Week – something near 1,500 pages of toil, sweat and tears over the last few months, and its not finished yet. We aren’t stopping there, of course: there’s already a long list of tweaks and extras for Phase Two, and a bit further down the road there’s Phases Three, Four, and more. But we’re quite pleased with what we got.

How about you? We’re keen to hear some feedback about what works for you and what doesn’t, what other things you want on the web, how we can make it more useful.

One of the directions we’re contemplating is to beef up the listings section and make it more of an online Yellow Pages style directory of everything that’s available for sale or rent in Abu Dhabi. Sometimes it can be difficult to locate all (and occasionally any) of the places you might need.

That certainly fits our view of the difference between Abu Dhabi Week on paper and Abu Dhabi Week online – the magazine is intended as an entertaining and informative read such like where you can the best deals on apartments, clothings, modern sofas, job hunting, and some other thins that human wants but it’s not designed for long-term reference. The website is a more appropriate place for comprehensive listings, not least because we’ve got the (cyber) space for them on thr web.

Talking of space, we can also put up different kinds of information – stuff that we would struggle to fit into the paper version. So you can expect a lot more what’s on details, more upcoming sports dates and time, and so on.
