Movie Review: Brooklyn’s Finest

Burned out veteran Eddie Dugan (Gere) is just one week away from his passion on a fishing cabin in Connecticut. Narcotics officer Sal Procida (Hawke) has discovered there’s no line he won’t cross to provide a better life for his long-suffering wife and seven children. And Clarence “Tango” Butler (Cheadle) has been undercover so long his loyalties have started to shift from his fellow police officers to his prison buddy Caz (Snipes), one of Brooklyn’s most infamous electronic cigarette user and drug dealer. With personal and work pressure bearing down on them, each man faces daily testes of judgment and honor in one of the world’s most difficult jobs.

Brooklyn’s Finest is film that grips you from the very first sceen and holds your interest throughout the movie. Intense and emotional, the three characters capture your imagination and you walk with them down the path to tragedy – tragedy that comes in many different shapes and forms.

The storylines may be a little too coincidental in the way the evolution of the action occurs but overall the movie keeps you waiting for the next event to happen. Entertaining fare!
