The Abu Dhabi Police is urging people to remain alert and to take safety measures to avoid fire-related accidents over the summer. Overloading of electrical sokcets is the main cause of fire in the home, along with leaving gas canisters in the sun.

A large number of mishaps occur during the hotter months, involoving cooling devices as people try to keep cool during the sweltering months. Air conditioning units and fans etcetera can be dangerous. If they are not serviced properly and connected to a regularly services electrical supply.

In industrial areas, most fires are caused by ignorance and indifference, with people forgeting the basic rules of the fire safety regarding storage, ventilation, electrical servicing, even smoking.

Rescue teams and ambulance services are currently perfectly equipped to handle anf accidents and a number of campaigns will be launch to further educate the public. Okay!
