In the field oil and gas, ensuring the thighest health & safety standards to be maintained throughout the specific projects was at the utmost importance to all companies involved in each contract. For instance, with the plant operating on two day shifts, 200 jobs were created from logistics and laborers to operators and inspection. With such a diverse range of positions being filled, a wide variety and level of training must be given. As such every employee must went through a rigorous and thorough series of training inductions with toolbox talks also held to educate the staff in creating and maintaining a safer working environment. Constant communication and interaction between trainers and employees must be visible to ensure the important information disseminated was understood.

Each oil & gas company should have an HSEQ expert that will oversee the working processes and roll out the training programs for all operation and admin employees to make sure their reliability and productivity. 

HSE experts should know as to where to call for an emergency medical assistance if accidents on field / work locations will arise on unexpected time. They should be in-charge in all investigations process ’til solution has been impleted.

HSE experts must..

- Report minimum one (1) dangerous situation feedback (DSF) monthly.
- Perform duties in a safe manner and refrains from unsafe practice
- Report accidents, incidents and near misses immediately when occurred.
- Participate positively in daily, weekly and monthly safety meetings.
- Propose any HSE suggestion to enhance and improve system.
- Maintain high level of home keeping of the work place at all times.
- Should assist HSEQ Department in all HSE matters related to Wireline division.
- Play a key role in implementation of HSEQ management system through the provisioned of a valued and comprehensive service across the full range of the division company. Also work closely with the Division / Company’s field personnel.
- Supervise and control adherence to the safety procedures at Wireline facilities and Mussafah base upon request.
- Assist the operations Project Manager during the hazop studies and Risk Assessment on existing and new operational activities.
- Supervise and check all employees safety training and maintain proper record to ensure validity as per Division training matrix.
- Participate in division client HSEQ meetings and audits.
- Conduct supervision with regard to work carried out with the Al Mansoori activities to ensure HSEQ legalization and standards are fully implemented.
- Make sure inspection of all equipment prior mobilization for new projects.
- Participate and full involvement on accidents investigation followed with corrective action and implementation plan.
- Conduct regular and scheduled inspections and audits at sites and report findings too.
- Maintain daily employee attendance sheet and to be verified during emergency drills.
- Provide monthly HSEQ performance report to HSEQ department.
- Maintain HSEQ file covering updated document as per MSE and client questionnaire.
- Maintain HSEQ management system to a level that fulfills the policy and objectives of the company at large.
- Make sure all documents used are controlled.
- Report and take action to progress all cases of non-conforming quality in service, products, techniques, procedure and specifications.
- Report quality suggestion minimum one per month.
- Circulate Safety Flash Awareness.
- Monitor company objectives if all is achieved on time without zero LTI.
- Awarding Employees for excellent DSF, QUALITY SUGGESTION & SAFETY DRIVER during safety meeting.
- Make Certificates for employees who received an excellent customer feedback.
- Maintain and update filing, photocopying and sending faxes.
- Assist in preparation for tender submission
- Maintain good and healthy relation among the Superior, Colleagues and subordinates.
