Was it good or bad? Either way, you’ll want to talk about it with your child and her teacher. Here are some tips to help you prepare for these chats.

What You Need to Know

You’ve eagerly anticipated this moment since you dropped your child off for her first day of kindergarten months ago. And it’s finally here! You can barely contain your excitement as she hands over that precious piece of paper—her first report card.

Getting your child’s first report card is a huge milestone—for both you and her. It can reveal a lot about:

How she’s doing in school

Her strengths and weaknesses

What kind of progress she’s made

What areas of improvement exist for her

How you can support her learning

Signs of learning disabilities

Whether the report card makes you beam from ear to ear or is a little disappointing, it’s a great reference tool that you can use to help your child improve in the years to come. Your child and her teacher have worked together for months to earn the grades you see in this card, so be sure you take the time to discuss it with both of them.

How You Can Help

Here are some tips to help you talk about the report card with your child:

Prepare your child for the report card throughout the year. Make sure she understands why she’ll be getting one, when it’s coming, and how she can prepare. If you see that she doesn’t like to share, let her know that she’ll be graded on sharing in her report card and encourage her to improve in this area.

Take the time to sit down with your child and focus on the report card. Don’t discuss it while she’s riding her bike around the driveway or playing a video game.

Start off by discussing the positive things in her report card. Even if it’s mostly negative, point out how great she did in math or how her teacher thinks she shares well.

Be supportive when discussing the negative parts of her card. For example, if she is doing poorly in math, say something like, “I know math is hard for you. What can I do to help?”

Talk about a plan for improvement. Offer to read with her at night or ask an older child to tutor her in math.

Here are some tips for discussing the report card with your child’s teacher:

Ask her how she grades her students throughout the year. Find out what’s most important—class participation, homework, projects, etc.

Encourage the teacher to reach out to you if she senses that your child is falling behind in certain areas. This will give a heads-up so you can help your child improve before her grades suffer.

If your child is doing poorly in one or more areas, solicit her teacher’s advice on how you can help her improve. She may have some great ideas you didn’t think of.

But why is it that its still exist in the market? I barely had confusions on it. Even the cigar producers are flagging it on their advertisements that its dangerous in health yet a lot of people is still using it ever since ’til now. As the study goes, its really dangerous but did you ever ask yourself if its really dangerous why do people get calm and relieved whenever they took a stick of it?

Some if not all smokers claims that cigarettes is life. Granted that its really dangerous for health but have you guys realized how do this cigar helps those people who are so dependent on it? They seem to have self-confidence and bring back the energy they had whenever they had some cigars.

Well, for me I’m not saying that cigarettes is bad nor good ’cause if we try to put it in a right place to where it should be cigars and cigar accessories has a pros and cons. For whatever reason if a man took some of it then let it be. Every single person has its own freedom to choose and take what ever they want besides its their life after all.

Here I am again, goin’ back to those recent life I had. I don’t know actually where to start and how to start this article. I actually have so much to share but don’t know how will I start…. Hmmmmmm…..

Okay! Let’s start it this way, life abroad is somehow a challenging one yet a fulfilling struggles. Every victory in a day to day battlefield is indeed rewarding! Why did I say so? ‘Cause a battle between survival, race differences, and living far from family is somehow one of the hardest part to bare. But due to financial matters, we choose to be here to gave a better life for our family back home.

I won’t go into details as to how I spent my days and life here but all I can say it’s awesome! I meet several types of people from a different walks of life where I learn to value myself and eventually learn to value others.

I came to know that growing up is process and in every stages there’s always a hardships that will somehow taught you to be strong and learn to play the game of life. Learn to bare the unexpected likewise to bare the fruits of every success you’ve taken!

Well, time flies so fast! I didn’t notice that in a year from now I already have a teenager nephew! Whoahh! The contradictory part is I’m gettin’ older. Hate it! But of course, gettin’ older but yummier! Haha! Seriously, I was bit a surprised a while back this morning when I had a short conversation through Skype with my eldest nephew and ask me to buy him Overloud Guitars for their upcoming cultural show at school. Is that serious? I ask and he humbly answers me Yes Tito. Oh! Tito is a word used in Philippines for Uncles.

Goin’ back to that guitar thing, I couldn’t imagine how time flies and I just realized that if not because of that music instrument he ask from me I wouldn’t know that his not a baby anymore. Sigh… Anyway, good thing about buying him the said instrument was he is into music. I mean, he loves music ever since when he was young. I could still remember when the song of Martin Nievera (Local Artist in Philippines) is playing on the radio he was trying to imitate the every single worlds of the song. He even scream out loud just to let us now that his singing! Cute little ones.

For sure, I’ll buy him the best guitar he loves besides haven’t given anythin’ for him in several years. See you soon nephew dear!

Have you ever thought of getting back your old ways?? I mean not the times when you’re at the down part of your life.. But think of when your at the happiest part of your being an entity.. Well, for me I guess I would say during my High School life..

Its always been a cliche that the best part of your life is during your high school..Well, I can never agree more.. High School has been always the best of me.. This time of your life is the stage where you get to follow which track would you wanted to go.. The crucial phase where decisions are being made base on your curiosity that’s why I believe parents should have a bunch of handful oversee towards children.

This is the moment where you get to enjoy life, make friends and savor the best experience that could happen in our entire existence. During High School we get to know what we really are into, that might be into arts, music or anything that we love to do, here we get out from the box and shows what we really are. Nobody will tell us we’re not right but instead will help us show our inner strength.

They say that during our high school life is the best foundation on what kind of person we wanted to be. You gotta meet a whole lot of people that can either be your friend or not. The times when you start falling in or falling out of love. But being a teenager, its gonna be so difficult as well ’cause you need to understand a lot of things which matter you as a person.

This is where the chapter where dreams are being made.

They say you can never skip this phase of your life because this is the best thing that could happen to anyone. But at the end of the day life must go on and we need to stimulate more on what else we can do, then there you see yourself which path have you gone.

Looking back has always been exciting for us for we know during these days we only matter how the days passes by and how appealing it was. Now we knew exactly if we did flourished or not but we all know that part of our life has been that exhilarating.

I know its still very soon but time flies so fast and I’m counting the days. Oh! You guys might don’t have an idea what I mean. I’m actually excited of goin’ home soon. So plans has been set already and one of the major thing to do is to renovate my old home. A home where I have build-up my dream. A home where I was taught and molded into a person I am now. Thanks to my parents and to the rest of my siblings who in one way nurture and show me the best of everything wherever life’s takes us.

Going back to that renovation thing, I’m actually planning to buy basement carpet tiles so as to use for our basement area. It’s been almost 25 years that the said portion of our house was not given a higher priority due to financial crisis and there’s so much things to prioritize than the said subject. But now I guess, its about time to give it a break and change a bit more besides its too old and it needs renovation even before.

But as of now, still have to wait a little bit as I want to solely process it by myself and check every angle of the said place. I’ve actually talked to my dad to ask for quotations in basement carpet tiles from the local provider but if he could not find a better one I might consider online buying hopefully. Wish us luck!
