Overloading of electrical sokcets is the main cause of fire in the home, along with leaving gas canisters in the sun.

A large number of mishaps occur during the hotter months, involoving cooling devices as people try to keep cool during the sweltering months. Air conditioning units and fans etcetera can be dangerous. If they are not serviced properly and connected to a regularly services electrical supply.

In industrial areas, most fires are caused by ignorance and indifference, with people forgeting the basic rules of the fire safety regarding storage, ventilation, electrical servicing, even smoking.

Rescue teams and ambulance services are currently perfectly equipped to handle anf accidents and a number of campaigns will be launch to further educate the public. Okay! That’s it for now ’cause I still have to check this appetite suppressants for my on going diet as I am actually plannign to be back at the gym next month. Enjoy!

To coincide with the new name, the organization has also launched Sanad, a programme to support and promote Arab filmmakers and their outstanding work by awarding grants totalling US $500, 000 each year. Grants will be provided for both the development and post-production of feature length films and documentaries, with development grants amounting to US $20,000 and post-production grants US $60,000. The selection committee will comprise members of the festival’s programming and management teams and film industry professionals.

The Festival’s Executive Director, Peter Scarlet said, “There’s an amazing amount of untapped and unrecognized creative potential in the Arab world and these grants are an important building block in the creation of a vibrant and viable cinema here, especially since they come with the kind of international opportunities and support we can offer.”

This is the latest new of film industry here in Abu Dhabi. Okay! That’s it for now ’cause I still have to check this Moen kitchen faucets I’ve found earlier before I made this article. My colleagues here in my flat is asking me to search for faucet as we need to change our existing one as it was not working anymore. Probably this one will help. Enjoy!

The Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) jas joined forces with the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) to teach school children about local laws and the legal repercussions of breaking them.

A new awareness programme will include conferences, seminars and school visit jails and attend family hearings to learn directly from judges and defendants how committing crimes such as bullying and using drugs can negatively impact their lives.

The project will be implemented first within all public schools in the Emirate and later in private schools.

One aim is to promote positive communication within the home, especially for the children of divorced parents. Dr. Mugheer al Khalil, director genreal of ADEC, cited a global rise in violence among younger children as a motivating factor. While such violence has not been in the rise in area schools, al Khaili indicated the move is a preventive measures, ” in anticipation of what might happen, taking our learning from international experiences and applying what is beneficial for us here.

Those were lates buzz of Education right here in Abu Dhabi which in the long run both public and private schools will definitely benefit rom it. Okay! That was it for now ’cause I still have to check this nuphedragen I’ve found earlier before I wrote those article as I was looking for losing weight supplement as I am planning to be back in the gym already next month. Hope you guys will gonna have an idea as to how education goes here in UAE.

We’re a week into the fully-fledged web existence of Abu Dhabi Week – something near 1,500 pages of toil, sweat and tears over the last few months, and its not finished yet. We aren’t stopping there, of course: there’s already a long list of tweaks and extras for Phase Two, and a bit further down the road there’s Phases Three, Four, and more. But we’re quite pleased with what we got.

How about you? We’re keen to hear some feedback about what works for you and what doesn’t, what other things you want on the web, how we can make it more useful.

One of the directions we’re contemplating is to beef up the listings section and make it more of an online Yellow Pages style directory of everything that’s available for sale or rent in Abu Dhabi. Sometimes it can be difficult to locate all (and occasionally any) of the places you might need.

That certainly fits our view of the difference between Abu Dhabi Week on paper and Abu Dhabi Week online – the magazine is intended as an entertaining and informative read such like where you can the best deals on apartments, clothings, modern sofas, job hunting, and some other thins that human wants but it’s not designed for long-term reference. The website is a more appropriate place for comprehensive listings, not least because we’ve got the (cyber) space for them on thr web.

Talking of space, we can also put up different kinds of information – stuff that we would struggle to fit into the paper version. So you can expect a lot more what’s on details, more upcoming sports dates and time, and so on.

Five things we hate about the streets on the mainland.

1. THE AMBIANCE. In short, there isn’t any Khalifa City A is almost completely devoid of pavements, for instance, so street life is limited to driving. Even when there are sidewalks, there are few places to walk to and not much to see along the way, other than construction sites and the odd brightly coloured villa. (Whoever designed Khalifa B seems to have the idea, as the sidewalks seem to come as standard along most of its roads.)

2. THE STREEYT SIGNS. While the numbering system is useful, it’s largely arbitrary. Unlike the structured system on the island, there’s no obvious pattern on the mainland; and some of the same numbers have been used more than once, which makes giving directions difficult. Nor is there any guarantee that a road will keep the same number for its entire length – for instance, Street 16 becomes Stret 40 and Street 20 switches to Stret 24 for no apparent reason.

3. THE ROUNDABOUTS. There doesn’t seem to be any real aggreement amongst the mainland drivers on the exact rules pertaining to roundabouts and when to take which lane. Also, certain roads could use a few more – the road that runs alongside Al Raha Gardens, for example, stretches for over 10km but has only three roundabouts.

4. THE ONE WAY SYSTEM. In more spots than one, a road that looks to be two-way is essentially only one-way. You can cross from Mussafah Road over to Sheikh Zayed Road by taking Street 16 to Raha Gardens Street, but try coming back that way and you’ll find you can’t turn left at the crucial intersection.

5. THE OVERPASSES. It tooks as though the overpass that will officially cross over Sheikh Zayed Road at a spot that’s actually convenient for people living in Khalifa City A will be open soon. Until that day, though we’re still wondering why is takes Khalifa City residents so long to get to their nearest shopping mall.

Okay! That’s it for now ’cause I still have to check this system memory I’ve found earlier as I was looking a useful guide / article on how to fixed computer system memory. Good thing was I found this one and they had a great deal for this specific thing. Anyway, you guys might be interested too? Just check it for yourself!

It can be exhausting cramming in all those unmissable Michelin starred meals, zipping from one stellar appointment with gastronomic delights to the next, but such is the life of the working journalist…

You might not have been among the lucky glitterate who were able to take in some or all of Abu Dhabi’s food spectacular, the Gourmet Abu Dhabi programme of top chefs and top eats, but you surely fet a glow of vicarious pleasure at the thought of all that quality sprinkled around town like so much fairy dust. This is kind of place we live in: this is the kind of world we inhabit. It’s what Abu Dhabi is all about (or at least what it likes to think its all about: and there’s nothing wrong with aspirations and diets that work it simply shows that Abu Dhabi is the place to be).

The curtain comes down on the 15-day culinary festival this weekend, and to our way of thinking one of the highlights has been the Abu Dhabi Gourmet Stars Awards – 1– of them, depicted credibly enough as the Oscars of the local hospitality industry. We cover the big winner in the news pages inside the issue, but it’s especially gratifying to see a couple of unexpected names in the list – we were particulary pleased to see the appearance of one notable independent in the form of the India Palace; and Maria Irene of Ushna really does deserve the ‘Restaurant Host of the Year’ accolade.

Well done to all of the winners; and well done too to the ADTA people who organized Gourmet Abu Dhabi. It makes you glad to be here, even if you weren’t here…
