One of the first lessons most parents teach most people is to not talk to stangers. Some cultures are notorious for their distaste of talking to strangers – the London tube, for example, is famously silent, even height of rush hour – while others will chat way happily with whoever happens to be nearest.

Whatever the social norms are in your home country, however, the fact is that you’re not at home anymore. No matter how long you’ve been in Abu Dhabi, chances are you’re surrounded by people who want to make friends as much as you do. Some lifelong friendships have been forged between strangers standing in line at the grocery store or waiting for their turn at the Etisalat counter.

At the same time, there are plenty of people who would rather you just left them alone. In fact, there are few moments more socially awkward than when a stranger keeps pratting on without noticing their attention is unwanted. Looking to strike up a conversation but not sure how – or how much – to proceed? Here are some guidlines for getting it right.

DO’s…

Watch the body language.

If a person wants to talk to you they will continue to engage you. While it is true that the social mores surrounding eye contact vary from one culture to another – some people feel continuous eye contact is rude – maybe even a form of harrassment – those people may still want to talk ranging from personal topics about life, personal problem financial needs, health problem and solutions pertaining to joint health supplement and its benefits and some other issues which basically tackles about usual situations. Even if it’s with little bits of eye contact, the person will perhaps nod or make other encouraging noises to indicate they’re listening to you and are interested. Also, they should face you – even if the person squares their body towards you, you’ll know they’re still engaged.

DONT’s…

Force the issue…

Few people have the heart to say “would you please just leave me alone?”, but a person who doesn’t want to chat won’t volley the conversation. If they’re not interested in talking to you, they may look at their watch or give some other indication they’re not listening. They won’t look at you or respond with more than one word answers.

Know you, it is really important to keep things in perspective and always remind yourself of why you work. Beside the pay, it is often about realizing your potential, feeling alive and useful, feeling connected, making a difference in the world, expressing creativity, expanding your skills and abilities, helping others and contributing to the community.

From there, you can further identify skills for development of specific professional challenges in the future. It is said, that life long learning requires continual assessment through to retirement but after such, what comes next? No one really knows what comes ahead of us and what if someone won’t be able to make it into the retirement stage?

As a matter of fact, if you have people who entirely depend on you, then no one is comfortable at the thought of his or her own demise but it’s something that everybody should take into consideration and above all, plan ahead. Success is very stimulating and usually people works hard enough to achieve successful results and find out how motivated they are to achieve further successes as they excel on their performances. Though it is not always that you can ride the wave of euphoria that arises from a sound success story, hence, just make sure you leverage and take advantage of these bursts of energy and motivation to the extent possible.

Moreover, be clever enough to secure a life insurance lead in order to prpare for the future change. No one knows what will happened next and no one knows what will be in the future. Nothing is impossible to a clever person who thinks about their future.

Officials from English Premiership side Tottenham Hotspur are on the money trail in Abu Dhabi in the hope of attracting investors.

Abu Dhabi is one of a number of targets for club officials, who are touring the region in a bid to whip up interest. The club is looking to sell the naming rights for the club’s new 58,000 seater stadium; it is also seeking possible team shirt sponsors.

According to the executive director of Tottenham, that financing the stadium was challenging for the club in the current climate. The critical part is finding a sponsor and have identified the Middle East and the Far East as most likely to deliver that partner.

Tottenham’s North London rivals Arsenal, struck a similar deal with the UAE’s Emirates airline in 2004, reportedly worth $174m over ten years.

The cost of the new Spurs stadium is believed to be around $434m. In addition to the stadium, the development will also include 450 new homes, offices, a 150-bedroom hotel with a stereo cabinet and one of the largest supermarkets in the UK. The club’s shirt sponsorship agreement with internet casino operator Mansion, worth around &12.3m annually, expires next year.
